Clocks, Watches - adjusting the time

Expert: Kenneth Saunders - 3/27/2009

Question
I have an Alaron clock that I can't seem to get to run on time, it is always slow.  I
have tried turning the nut both ways.  The nut has four marks on it.  Help

Answer
what are the markings on the mechanism itself?

if this is a pendulum clock and the nut you refer to is under the round swinging pendulum bob- tightening the nut so the bob is higher and the oveall length of the pendulum is shorter, will speed it up.
