Question good morning,
I seek advice to fix my cuckoo clock, I received the shipment & one of the chain which winds the clock is off the sproket while other which runs cuckoo is fine. Is there any easy way without dismantling all the parts. I tried can reach it. clock is 1 day movement original germany clock.
please help.
Answer remove the back
the chains have round wire rings on the ends, bend open the last link with pliers and remove it. if you start the end of the chain (that you do NOT hook the weight on) over the top outside of the ratchet chain wheel you can then push the chain wheel and it will click and ratchet and allow you to push the chain over the wheel and eventually the end will appear below the movement where you can grab it.
