QuestionQUESTION: hi, i have a herman miller wall clock, model 620-218 serial HO6453, the big hand just spins, think the movement on back needs to be replaced, where can I buy a movement and how do I know it will work with this clock?
ANSWER: Herman Miller clocks used movements from many different companies and I don't know of a list that would tell me what is in your clock. Please look at the back of the clock movement and give me any markings that might be on the brass clock plate.
Thanks, Michael

QUESTION: Thanks for the response, there is no brass plate, the movement looks to be black plastic, no cover, no markings. I tried replacing with hobby clock works, hands did not fit.
ANSWER: Is it battery operated?
Battery movements use different hand shaft mounting sizes and shapes. Can you send me some photos? I would like to see the hands and the movement hand shaft.

QUESTION: yes, it is battery operated, 1 AA, I don't have any photos. The hands are 16" and 12" long.
AnswerI did a little research on the clock model you gave me after you told me how large it is. It looks like you have a Howard Miller rather than a Herman Miller.
The hour hand has a bushing in it. Are you sure the bushing is not loose? A loose bushing will cause the hand to dangle.
If you replace the movement it will have to be a high torque type because your hands are too large for a regular duty quartz movement. I can help you find one that will work but I have to ask you a few questions on it:
Are there any markings on the plastic box?
Is the minute hand held on by a small nut?
Does the minute hand have an oval hole or a round hole?
How long is the hand shaft? measure the total length from the front of the movement to the tip.
Does the movement have a threaded base for a mounting nut to go on?
