have a school house clock that i purchased jc pennys years ago.its a verichron 31 day regulator clock. the problem i have is that it wont keep proper time and the chimes are way off one of my children turn the hands backwords to try to fix and it just got worst

Up speeds the clock up ---down slows the clock down.
Make sure the bob or disk actually moves down and not only just the nut below it that you turned. You might mark the current location with a pencil or marker so you can be sure of the movement.


move the hour hand (short one)to the number the clock bongs.
