I HAVE AN OLD POCKET WATCH THAT I WAS TOLD WAS MY GREAT GRANDFATHERS.STAMPED IN THE CASE IS AN (AW CO)WITH WALTHAM UNDER IT  AND PAT.APR.22.73 WITH (COIN)AND 98186  STAMPED IN THE ARMATURE PART IS 3351128,WM.ELLERY,WALTHAM,MASS. SAFETY PINION. ALSO INSIDE THE CASE ARE MANY VERY SMALL INSCRIBED #S SUCH AS 137827,5266179,936X352,123465 ANY INFO ON THIS WOULD BE GREAT THANKS WILLIAM

It is manufactured by the Waltham Watch Co.  The model is Wm. Ellery

The case numbers may have been etched in by a watchmaker.  They did that every time they fixed one.  If they are machine made numbers, the case company put them there for their own purposes.
