Question
I have this clock and the instructions say to oil it periodically. However, no where in the instruction manual does it say where the oiling points are located. Could you please let me know as I don't want to hurt the movement by oiling it improperly. Thank you for your help.

Answer
You should oil the pivot holes. These are the holes in the brass movement plates where the ends of the gear shafts go through the plates. It's easy to see some of them when you look at the back or front of the clock movement. There should be a counter sink area around the pivot. This is to hold the oil in place. Fill up each of these oil sinks. For each gear in the clock, there are two pivot holes, one in the front plate and one in the backplate.
We sell clock oil on our website if you need any.
