Question
I have a HAC with the crossed arrows, I think it is from the 30's or 40's.  My question is:  Is there such a thing as a 15 day movement?  I can wind it and get 15 days Plus without having to wind again.  It keeps great time.
Thanks

Answer
Clocks come with every conceivable adaptation.  While not run of the mill a two week running time was not too unusual.  Also it is possible, by varying spring specifications, to alter the designed function of the clock.  To increase running time would require a longer and perhaps stronger spring.  Such adaptations are very hard on the clock, causing rapid and harmfull wear.   I doubt however that your clock has been so adapted.  Regards WJP
