QUESTION: I am trying to identify an Ingraham mantel clock that appears similiar to the Paladin model.I have the following information from a sticker on the back of the clock.
152 JASPER.
THE E. Ingraham Co.,Bristol, Conn., U.S.A.
The Instructions indicate this was to be an alarm clock, but there is no center dial as shown on the Paladin models.
ANSWER: info from an old price book says: Jasper--oak, dial6" about 1898

cheap Yankee clockmakers used up any paper lables laying around before spending money to print new ones.

QUESTION: Thank you for your answer, but I do not think this is a knock off by another company. I removed clock face to do a minor repair and found the front plate of the clock works stamped with the same info. "E. Ingraham Co, , Bristol Conn." and also found a number stamped adjacent to the company identification. The number is 00. I am also attaching a picture of the clock.

I agree and did not mean to suggest such- the cheap Yankee clock makers used up any of THEIR OWN PAPER LABELS they had laying around.Most of the Kitchen clocks like yours were available with or without alarms and that did not change the model name. And often they printed only the labels that explained the use of the alarm, as they would use THEM in both models! Could be your dial and dial pan are not original- your mechanism could actually be an alarm mechanism that had its alarm removed and the dial changed(any "extra" wood screw holes in the back board in the lower left side of the clock??
