Clocks, Watches/Hermle quartz 2114

Question
Hi,
I have a hermle quartz 2114 mantle clock and when we reset
the time for daylight savings time (after owning it for
only 4 months), the chime does not match with the time.
now the chime isn't even chiming or is sporadic.  I've read
your previous answers and see that the movements aren't
designed to be repaired, but how do I find the right size
movement to order...11m, 16m...etc...How do I figure this
out or do you think the warranty covers this problem.  We
are within the 2 years.  Any help would be appreciated.

Answer
Hi Suzanne,

The dimensions you are referring to are the hand shaft lengths of the movement. You should measure the full length of the hand shaft from the front of the movement to the tip. You will, of course, need to remove the movement from the clock to do this.

You should contact the clock manufacturer for warranty information. I would strongly recommend that you do not remove the movement from the clock, or make any repair attempts, before you contact the manufacturer, or your warranty may become void. http://www.clockmasteronline.com
