Question
My wife inherited a Seth Thomas Mantel Clock, Ivory, with four pillars.  It does not have a pendulum ball.  I can only find two numbers on the back of the movement.  Lower right corner 890.  About half way up the right side is a 7.  Can you tell us more about the clock and if pendulum balls are available.

Thanks for time and patience.

Answer
Pendulum bob's are readily available.  Any jewelry store should be able to help you find one.  The 890 refers to the type of movement.  Seth Thomas was one of americas largest manufacturers of clocks.  They made literally thousands of different clock models during their production years.  I would need a great deal more information about your clock to enable any research.  Perhaps you could send me a digital picture.  From what you have told me I suspect it is one of the white adamantine's that were produced between 1905 and 1927.  Regards WJP
