Question
I have a Howard Miller #4875W "The Prince" H. 77 3/4". I'm looking for the dowel in the center, top of the clock. Got lost in moving. Where could I get another?  Or should I replace with something similar?

Answer
they are called a "finial"

you can by and stain and finish your own http://www.timesavers.com/catalogmain2.asp?ProductID=18331%2C18330&submit1=Searc...
