Clocks, Watches/Erratic chiming

Question
I have a grandfather clock that has started chiming erratically. Most times it doesn't chime, but when it does the quarter hours are wrong, but the hours are correct.
The weights are not descending evenly only one is going all the way down. There are 3 chimes and also silent and it doesn't matter which chime I set it on. Hopefully its an easy fix. Thanks, Rick

Answer
I can help you sync the chimes to the hands but the problem of the clock not always chiming is another matter. The first thing I would do is oil the clock movement. This might get the clock chiming consistently again.
I would need the make and model of the clock movement (stamped on the back of the movement) to know what the setup for the chimes is.
