Question

Back plate ID
Hi and thank you for your time.
I have a lovely modern Grandfather Clock with German works (See attached photo for ID). The ticking is irregular with a dit-daa, dit-daa type rhythm Slower on wine side than the other). The pendulum stops swinging after about 3 or 4 minutes. It doesn't appear to be simply a balance (or leveling) issue as when I remove the pendulum, the same irregular tempo is produced (far quicker of course) by the section from which the pendulum is normally swung.
I live in a remote part of South Africa and need to affect repairs myself if possible.
Many thanks in advance for your valuable help.

Answer
It sounds like your clock is out of beat and needs an adjustment to the escapement.  I believe I have an exploded view of your clock's movement that might help you.  To receive this item I will need your e-mail address to transmit, also I will need to know if your clock is cable or chain driven.  Regards WJP
