Question
I have a gruen verithin pocket watch left to me by my grat uncle apparently the hairspring is broken and I am not able to find a repairer in australia that can access this part, are you able to access a hair spring for this type of watch,

Answer
I have been out of the watch business for many years now.  My stock has long since disposed of and most of the vendors from whom I had been purchasing materials are also long out of business.  I do, however, have the name of a repair firm that might be able to help you.  Unfortunately they do not have an e-mail address, they do have a Fax address.  Here's the address and good luck.  CALIFORNIA WATCH REPAIR Co., P.O. Box 86485, Los Angeles, Ca., 90014.  Tel: 213) 948-9854  Fax: 213) 955-9013.  If this doesn't work for you let me know and I will seek further.  Regards WJP
