Question
I have a C.J.HUG Imperial clock model 600  It runs fine till it chimes and then it won't stop. I need to know if I can get it fixed or where I can get new works for it.

Answer
Hi Rob,

This problem is usually repairable without overhauling or replacing the movement. However, there are quite a few possible causes of the problem, and those causes differ among different movements. The chime mechanism is relatively complicated, and diagnosing the correct cause of the chiming problem usually requires substantial experience with the movement. Additionally, some causes of this problem involve repairing very small pins on internal gears. For these reasons, I would recommend having a professional clock repairer do this work.
