Question

Schatz Royal Mariner S
I have inherited my father's Schatz Royal Mariner Ship's Bell Clock which is of deep sentimental value to me. Unfortunately, a geared wheel of the platform escapement is broken. I live in Sweden and have tried numerous times to find a clock repairman here who could help me.  We have gotten so far, whereas to know which part is broken.  The part I need to get the clock working again is the small gear on the right-hand side of the attached photo. Do you know to whom I can turn to find such a replacement part?
Thanking you in advance for your kind assistance in this matter.
Sincere regards
Linda

Answer
I looked through my Schatz ship's bell stuff and all of the parts I have are for the larger style balance. I honestly don't know where you will find the part you are looking for. Have you tried a watch repairman? The escape wheel repair you need is too small for most clock repair people unless he or she has experience in watch repair as well.
