Question I have a Sligh Manlte Clock Model 0516-1-AN. The lock acts like it wants to chime ( the hammers are working) but they are not hitting the rods and make no sound. What should I do?
Answer the heads of the hammers should be about 1/8" from the rods in the rest position- if not bend the hammer handles (brass wire) on each till they are that and try again. Unless severe wear is the problem and there is not much lift to the hammers (wimpy)-- this should help.
