how do u tell wheather a clock is an 8-day or 1 day. is there something u can look for that tells u immediately what it is. thank you

Answer
Count the number of gears attached to shafts that drive the time train. If it has three it is a 1 day, if 4 it is an eight day.

         30 hour                            8 day
      1 great wheel                     1 great wheel
      2 2nd wheel                       2 2nd wheel
      3 escape wheel                    3 3rd wheel
                                        4 escape wheel
