Clocks, Watches/clock hands dont move

Question
My husband received a Howard Miller Jewel Chime wall clock (620-192  F0001270366) as a gift about 10 yrs ago. When I went to change the time for the last 'summer-time', the hands stopped moving. The pendulum swings, but the hands don't. I'd really like to know what you'd recommend I buy to try and fix the problem. thanks.

Answer
Perchance are the hands locked together?  Examine them carefully to see if the minute hand is in any contact with the hour hand.  If such contact exists, bend the minute hand outwards to allow free passage.  Sometimes the minute hand nut needs to be tightened.  If neither of these suggestions work for you I suspect something is awry withe the time works and you should have the matter corrected by a qualified clock repair person.  Regards WJP
