Question
I have an Elgin Anniversary Clock which was my grandparents.  It is keeping time fine, but when the clock was given to me the revolving pendulum was missing.  I was wondering were I could find a replacement?  Thank you.

Answer
Hi Loretta,

Pendulums for mechanical 400-Day (Anniversary) clocks are not generic, and these clocks have been out of production for many years. The only possibility of replacing the pendulum is probably to find a similar non-working "parts" clock for sale inexpensively. These are sometimes offered on auction sites.

If your clock is battery powered, there are a few generic pendulum assemblies available from clock supply houses like Timesavers (www.timesavers.com) or Merritts Antiques (www.merritts.com). It is possible, although not extremely likely, that you can find a suitable pendulum at one of these sites.  http://www.clockmasteronline.com
