Question
I have a 11 tube Jacque grandfather clock whose tubes were taken off and not marked as to which sequence to place them back. Is there any literature or advise as to fiqure out which tubes go where? Not sure if it matters , but movements listed on face are St. James, St Paul, Notre Dame and Trinity.

Answer
1st Quarter: 6 5 4 3 2 1

2nd Quarter: 3 5 4 2 3 1 6 4 5 3 2 1

3rd Quarter: 5 4 3 2 6 3 6 1 5 4 3 2 6 5 4 3 2 1

4th Quarter: 3 5 4 2 3 1 6 4 5 3 2 1 5 4 3 2 6 3 6 1 5 4 3 2
Notes: 1=Low D, 2=G, 3=A, 4=B, 5=C, 6=High D

so set it on "Trinity"  and run the minute hand around to the quarter after - you should get 6 hammers to move when it tries to chime the first quarter (6 notes only) hang 6 tubes so  you get six decending notes played at this spot and the remaining tubes should be hung left and right of those 6 tubes, in order by length.
