Question
I have a weight driven New England Clock Co. steeple clock that I just obtained.  It runs well and keeps good time, but it strikes the hour on the 45 and half hour on the 15.  Is correcting this situation as easy and removing the hands and replacing them in the right position?

Answer
With a New England clock I believe it is that simple.  It is, however, possible that you will have to turn the minute hand bushing.  When you remove the minute hand and you find the bushing hole and the shaft are square, you are in business.  If, as may be likely, the bushing and minute hand shaft, have a curved shape, you will need to turn the hand bushing 1/4 turn, and that should take care of it.  Regards WJP
