Question
how can u tell if it's 1 day, 30 day or 8 day movement? thanks

Answer
You will need to take the back off the clock to count the number of wheels (gears) that are driving the time train.  A one day clock will have a mainwheel, (the powerwheel) a second wheel, and a third wheel, the third wheel drives the escape wheel.  In an 8 day movement there is another 4th wheel added between the 2nd and mainwheel.  I have never heard of a 30 day cuckoo.  If there were one, it would need another wheel and humunguss weights to drive or a chain drop of over 25 feet.  Regards WJP
