Question
while cleaning out my mother's stuff, came across a mantle clock that has been sitting in the house for at least all of my remembered life. 54 years.  i've looked all over the net and cannot find it. I think my mom called it an 8 day clock. it says on the back: seth thomas  sharon-7W. it has a number but it is unreadable. can you tell me how old and maybe if it's worth anything.

Answer
I do not do valuations upon items I do not personally inspect.  I can tell you that the Sharon, by Seth Thomas, was produced During The years 1913 - 1928.  As produced the clock was of mahogany finish with 5 inch decorated dial.  Eight day movement No. 89.  Hour and half hour strike on cathedral gong.  Height 14 1/4 inches, base 9 1/4 inches.  Regards WJP
