Question
I have been given a Junghan clock. It is old it use to belong to my aunty. It is a pendulum style thats sits in a glass dome. It use to have a long battery to make it work that sat on the back of the clock. A wire on the top and one on the bottom. I need to know what the Wattage would be so I can get a battery to get it working again. It has on the face Junghans ATO above that a star with a J in it and at the bottom Made in Germany. Can you help me. I can send you a photo if you need one
Thank you

Answer
Hi Peter. I'm very familiar with the electronic clocks by Kundo but have only worked on one or two of the Junghans version. Having said that, I'm pretty sure that your clock battery would be 1.5 volt. You should be able to use a typical flashlight battery as a replacement. All of the following batteries are 1.5 volt: AAA, AA, C and D. The only difference is that the larger batteries will last longer.
I hope this information helps you to get your clock working again.
Michael
