Question
I have a GF Clock made from a kit by a family member. It was running before it was we moved the last time: but the pendulum was lost. I understand the co. which made the movement is out of business and parts are non longer available. I need to know the length and bob size and or a place where the pendulum can be purchased. Numbers on the back of the movement are 376987 & 77 5 76. Please advise. Thanks

Answer
Heinz-Jauch has not produced movements for many years.  Parts are still available through some of the clock materials houses.  Use the internet as your resource to locate such places of business.  It should not be difficult to locate a suitable pend.  Also, as a last resort, Hermle makes suitable replacement movements.  The pendulum requirements should be stamped upon the clocks brass backplate.  If you would copydown everything stamped thereupon, in their exact order, I could most likely be able to interprete their meanings for you.  Better yet send me a legible digital picture.  Regards WJP
