Clocks, Watches/Chime melody repeats during hour strike

Question
I have a Ridgeway clock, Dial-R2, Model-120, Movement-GN 32570D, Serial-3/30/82.  We moved into an apartment for a year and turned off the clock chimes to keep from disturbing neighbors.  We moved into our house a year ago and turned the chimes on but now the clock goes through the hourly melody, chimes the hour and plays the melody again during the hourly strike.  Any ideas on how to fix the problem or where I could get a service manual for this movement?  Thank you.

Answer
I suggest you get a clock lubrication kit.  This will not only provide you with the lubricants, but provide instructions as well.  Just to give you an idea of what I am speaking goto <how to repairclocks.com/clock-oil.html>  From that prompting you will get the idea of how to look for your needs.  Incidental the product being extolled at that source is one of the pricier ones, but in my opinion, well worth the dollar spent.  Regards WJP
