Question
Feeling stupid....cannot discover how to open the back to the movement...."help" please.

Answer
Larry,

Depending on the type of case, it either pops open or it screws open, like a jar lid.

If it is an open face watch, meaning that it does not have a metal shield across the glass, it will screw off, like the jar lid.

Look for a crease between the case and the back.  You might need to use a jar opener (the rubber kind that you might have in your kitchen)to get a good grip.

You might also need a SMALL amount of oil to loosen the back.  It may have been in place for a long time.
You might need to put a little elbow grease behind it.

Kind regards,

Melvin
