Question
Hello Michael,
I have a bunch of "La Rose 31 Day" spring wound clock movements that my father had, and was wondering if people still look for them. I read that La Rose is out of business, and I was thinking of putting them on E-Bay to see what they do. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Answer
Yes, the movements have good value and I think ebay should be an excellent way to sell them. The important thing would be to have as much information as possible on the movements. If you still have the LaRose inventory number I can see if it is in one of the catalogs I have.
You will want to include the following information with your listing:
La Rose part number
distance across the winding arbors (center to center)
Distance from the hand shaft to one winding arbor
Length of the hand shaft
Pendulum drop (it would be great if you have pendulums and/or hands to go with them)
All of these things are important because this information will let buyers decide what clocks the movements will fit in.
Let me know if you need more help.
