Clocks, Watches/Ship's cock bell

Question
I have a Schatz Royal Mariner ships clock approximately thirty years old. The clock is in excellent condition and keeps perfect time but has recently decided to ring three times when it should only ring once (0830, 1230, 1630 etc). At all other times the bell rings the correct number of times i.e. 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8. Is there a simple method of adjustment without having to disassemble the timepiece? Thanks, Dave.

Answer
You will need to remove the hands and face to get the the part of the movement that controls the strike. They are on the front of the movement, behind the face. I think the movement is attached to the back of the case although some are attached to the face.
If you are willing to take the clock apart I would like a photo of the front of the movement so I can tell you how the strike works.
