Question
Can you tell me something about a clock I recently purchased?  It has a dark wooden case with a brass handle on top and GERMANY stamped or etched on the back of the case.  Markings are:  130-627 Elgin Clock Division, Elgin National Watch Co., Two(2)Jewels.  The face brass scrolling in all four corners, roman numerals with the number 5 through 60 above the roman numerals.  The word ELGIN is beneath XII.

Thank you.

Answer
Your clock was made by Hermle.  To be kmore definative I would need for you to copy down and send me ALL the data that is stamped upon the movements brass backplate.  Perhaps with that data I would be able to tell you at least the year of production.  Regards WJP
