Clocks, Watches/pocket watch

Question
I have an Illinois Sterling pocket watch (glass face is gone) 17 jewel with 4735392 Sterling marked inside. I'm interested in selling it but don't know how to get it's value, or find out how rare it is.

Answer
Maria,

Your best bet is to look for a book by Cooksey Shugart, "Complete Price Guide to Watches".

That is the "bible" for horologists.

You will have all the information you need to make informed decisions regarding buying and
selling watches.

Kind regards,

Melvin
