Question

Hamilton watch
I received this watch from my brother who was an avid collector. I don't know anything about it and can't ask my brother since he has passed away.

There are the following markings on the movement and on the case.

HAMILTON WATCH CO.
SPRINGFIELD MASS.
PATENT PINION
Ser# on movement  #382419
Number on case  # 71877

I think this watch was made in 1904.

I don't know if it is gold and how many jewels there are in the movement.

I have attached a photo of the watch.
I have 5 more pictures and would be happy to Email them to you
Thank you for your help

Bernie

Answer
You are correct, it was made in 1904.

If you show me some photos of the movement, I might be able to give
you some more information.

The case would have some marking if it was gold.  If it does not
have some marking, it is most likely not gold.

Kind regards,

Melvin
