Clocks, Watches/my cuckoo doesn't cuckoo

Question
We received our cuckoo clock as a gift from Germany just yesterday.  We set it up on the wall and enjoyed the cuckoo throughout the day.  It has an on/off wire on the left side so we turned it off when we went to bed.  In the morning, we turned it back on, but the cuckoo doesn't cuckoo.  Any suggestions???

Thanks in advance,

Margie

Answer
Sorry for the delay.
Since there is no wear lets look for a glitch.

move the wire up and down several times.

take the right weight off and move the min. hand a little past the 12 and then rehang the weight.

move the min. hand to 12 and at the same time apply a few ounces of downward pressure on the right weight.

try these three procedures and maybe one of them will unlock the the chiming gathering pallet.

let me know.
