Question
Hello
I have been given a Tempus Fugit mantel clock marked in the back
emil schmeckenbecher it has a large 75 above the name and 2 jewels unadjusted 130-080, Just wanted to know something about the clock, age etc and something about maker.
many thanks

Answer
Hi John,

Tempus Fugit is latin for Time Flies.  the movement is German made by Hermle.  The 75 is the year the movement was made,1975.  schmekenbecher is a importer of clocks best known for their blackforest cuckoos.  The 130-080 is the Hermle movement number.
Hope that gives you what you wanted and have a great day.  Enjoy your bell strike clock.
