A friend has a old emperor mantle clock with tepus fugit on it . It has three keys,beautiful gold engraving, nice sounding chime. It was made in germany. Can you give us any history on this clock, the date, etc.

where do you get the name "Emperor" from? on the dial? the back plate of the mechanism will have mfg. info --advise--got photo? three place to wind it- not three keys brass dial probably not gold and Tempus Fugit is latin for "Time Flies" is found on millions of clocks and is traditional and generic.
