Question
Dear sir,
I hope you can help me. I bought the works of a Grandfather Clock, hoping to put it in my grandfather clock case.
There was a tiny brass piece that connected the pendulum to the arm. The clock is an Ehard Jauch Uhrenfabrik made for the Empire Clock Company 77. If you could send me a photo or diagram of how it is connected, I would be very indebted to you. My Dad is visiting me and he actually took a clock repair class a long time ago. He is trying to figure it out but needs some help in remembering.
Thank you so much for your time and effort.
                                      Sincerely,
                                    Stephan Pappas

Answer
I believe what you need is a pendulum spring. I am positive that I could help you.  I can not visualize, "There was a tiny brass piece that connected the pendulum to the arm.".  Could you send me a digital picture of rear of the movement?  Please try to avoid bright light.  if you are unable to provide the picture try doing a rough drawing.  Regards WJP
