Clocks, Watches/pendulum attachment

QuestionDear sir,
I hope you can help me. I bought the works of a Grandfather Clock, hoping to put it in my grandfather clock case.
There was a tiny brass piece that connected the pendulum to the arm. The clock is an Ehard Jauch Uhrenfabrik made for the Empire Clock Company 77. If you could send me a photo or diagram of how it is connected, I would be very indebted to you. My Dad is visiting me and he actually took a clock repair class a long time ago. He is trying to figure it out but needs some help in remembering.
Thank you so much for your time and effort.
Sincerely,
Stephan Pappas
AnswerI believe what you need is a pendulum spring. I am positive that I could help you. I can not visualize, "There was a tiny brass piece that connected the pendulum to the arm.". Could you send me a digital picture of rear of the movement? Please try to avoid bright light. if you are unable to provide the picture try doing a rough drawing. Regards WJP
