Question
My E.Ingraham clock consistently chimes 2 minutes late every hour. The half hour chime seems to be right on time. Can a novice correct this problem at home?
Also - there are numbers stamped on the front of the clock mechanism   a "3" on the left and  "06" on the right what if anything do these numbers indicate?

Answer
To correct would require Partial take down or altering of parts.  I would suggest you have it done.  While having it done have the repair person install a bushing on the minute hand, this would allow you to make all similar corrections yourself.  It is a well worth the cost modification.  As to the number they most likely mean the clock movement was built in March of 1906.  Regards WJP
