Ethan Allen Mantle Clock. inside cover ID# 414035787 movement '87 at top of Harris&Mallow 2Jewels # 340-020 and made in Germany on it.  wood/brass roman numberals.  three wind holes. runs and chimes says Westminster Chime Floating Balance on picture inside rear cover. What is year of make, doesn't run full 8 days only 4. case in very good condition. Worth buying or needs replacement movement - if there are replacements?  Rare clock or common? Thanks

yours is a Hermle German made movement - made for the case-maker, Harris&Mallow

made in 1987  stille being made the Hermle # is 340-020

i would wind it twice a week till it gets to be a pain then replace it --they are good for about 20 years on average- replacing the mechanism would cost you $10 a year for its' projected 20 year life- not too much to pay for a "new" clock you like!
