Question
My boyfriend loves watches. I have given him several new ones recently. They always seem to start losing time after he wears them. He does have a money clip type wallet that has a magnet on it, could this be the culprit in slowing the mechanics of the watches? (Owns, Seiko, Buliova (Ecco drive) Kenneth Cole, etc.  Thanks, Rebecca

Answer
Ms. Rebecca,

Yes, that could easily be the culprit.

Put the watch on the money clip and you will see the time stop.

It will start again after it is removed from the money clip.

He may put them on his dresser at night and that is causing the problem.

Tell him to keep them separated.

Kind regards,

Melvin
