Question

Clock
I have an improved 30 hour brass clock. Made and sold by the Forestville Clock Co. in Forestville, Conn. Tall rectangle back and door, 26" tall and 15" wide, the picture on door looks to be a building made in the Greek architecture style with a dome on top. It is at least 75 years old and in fair condition. Presently it is not running. Where can I find info and if I wanted to sell this item what is its expected value?

Answer
From the looks of your photo I would say you have an OG clock. It is probably 125+ years old. Even though these clocks are very old they don't bring a lot of money for a few reasons: There are a lot of them out there. Most are one day clocks and need to be wound every day. In non running condition I would say it's worth about $50 to $100. They are not hard to repair but even if it were running I don't think you could get more than $125.
It should have two weights that travel up and down the channels near the sides of the clock.
There is a lot of information on the net if you search for OG clock.
