Question
I recently inherited a Gilbert Clock - The model reads Sudan on the bottom and the pendulum is dated April 28, 1896. I cannot find one similar anywhere on the Internet. It does not keep time so would like to get it repaired. I would also like to know the approximate value and the dating of the clock. Thanks.

Without actually seeing the clock I can place no value upon it. Condition is everything when making such judgements. It appears your clock is one of the highly prized porcelain models. I suggest you contact a local antique dealer for an appraisal. I suspect you would be pleased by her/his findings. Regards WJP
