grandfather clock
My grandpa just gave me a grandfather clock and i was curious to how old it is. The number on the back says 76 franz hermle nd101jewels west germany unajjusted 451-053. the face of the clock says piper it has a sun dail with a rising sun, 2 suns with faces and a ship on the sea the ships sail has a red pheonix bird on it. theres to half globes one with north america and the other with Asia, Europe and the upper portion of africa. It says cpm 9082 pecan montgomery ward chicago on the back panel. Thank you

the mechanism made in 1976  by Hermle (their current# 451-053 still!)

case made by someone else for the defunct Montgomery Ward Stores
so it is 34 years old.
