Question
My son was resetting time on the clock ahead several hours.  He did not wait for the clock to chime at all four quarters of the hour and subsequently the timing of chimes is off - The music played the full (on the hour) song 15 mins off so I took the minute hand off and moved it to the hour - now the hour gong sounds at quarter after - Can you help??  Emperor was no help at all

Answer
put the hand back on where it was.

go to the quarter after and have it chime then back the minute hand up till 12 and then advance to quarter after again to have it chime again --keep doing this till you get only the 4 decending chime notes that you should get at quarter after when playing the Westminster chime. things should be right after that.

the hour strike only happens at 12 the quarters do not reset except manually as above. (by not waiting with your older clock, you DO have a one in four chance of still being right after running the minute hand around!)
