Question
Hi I have problem with the striking of this clock. It only
strikes even numbers now and not the odds on the halve hours.
I have changed the battery but this has had no effect.
Do you have a solution can it be fixed at home.
Thanks Garth

Answer
Ships clocks have a unique system of causing the odd strike on the 1/2 hour. Most of them drop the hammer an even amount of times but a lever is supposed to catch the hammer on the last drop so it does not hit the bell on the last strike.
In a quartz movement this could be inside the housing and there would be no way to adjust it.
However it could be on the outside. I would have to see a photo of the movement, out of the clock, to tell you what your set up is.
