Question
Michael,
My grandson pulled the pendulum off the wall clock and I believe the arm that holds the pendulum in place is not sitting correctly. The part I am referring to has a little hook on it but I can't seem to get it back into place.
The clock had been running well till he pulled the Pendulum off the unit. Any suggestions? I live on Long Island and this unit has great value to me...

Answer
The pendulum hanging assembly consists of two parts:
The suspension spring
The leader
The part you are referring sounds like the leader. It hooks onto the suspension spring. It is very common for the suspension spring to get broken when there is trauma to the clock. Here is a link to what suspension springs look like:

You will need to look at the top of the movement to see if the suspension spring is intact. The leader hooks onto the pin in the bottom block of the spring.
If the spring is broken the bottom block is probably at the bottom of the clock case.
