Question
my pendulum will not stay moving with or without the leaf on it no matter which way i try to level it.

Answer
Do you hear the clock ticking?
If you hear the ticks, see if they are in beat.
The sounds should be evenly spaced in time like
Tick....Tock....Tick....Tock
Not: Tick......Tock..Tick......Tock..
If they sound uneven, tip the clock case a bit to one side. The beat will either improve or get worse. Adjust the tilt of the clock so that the beats sound even.
If the clock is not ticking at all it needs to be serviced.
