Question

Hermle seconds wheel
Hello Sir
I recently inherited a Hermle Mantle Clock. The movement is made by W. Haid, stamped as follows:
75
W. Haid
(IWF) 2 jewels
Made is West Germany
340 020.

The problem is that it runs too fast. it gains 5 minutes in 24 hours.  How do retard the mechanism so that it will run slower?

Answer
In the back there is a silver wheel(in your great photo!) that oscillates back and forth. Hold the rim of the wheel still with your thumb and with the tip of a ballpoint pen, move one of the spokes of the 3 spoked finger on the top side of the wheel to the left to slow it down---trial and error to get it right.
