Question
Recently found above watch, I'm not a collector, seeking advice on what to do, such as cleaning, appraisals, storage, possible repair if needed, possible keepsake, possible web-sites. I consider this watch to be in pretty good shape and it may work, haven't tried. Mr Mills can you help a beginner in this field. Thank You

Answer
Anthony,

This is a wonderful find.

What to do will be determined by what you plan on doing with it.

If you want it for an ornament, you don't need to go through any expense unless you want it in running order.

If you want to sell it, it is a tougher question.
The question is, will having it serviced increase the value enough to warrant the service?  In many cases, you would be better off selling it "as is" and not worrying about it after that.

I cannot see any reason that you would need it appraised.
If you want to know what the value is for your own curiosity,
look at ebay and see what similar watches are selling for and that will be the value.

Please feel free to ask any other questions you might have.

Kind regards,

Melvin
