Question

Urgos movement
Hi William,

I have a George Washington limited edition grandfather clock (urgos uw030). The cable on the right side-facing the clock-is broken.  Can you please help me step by step with the cable replacement?  I will have to measure the length of the brass cable and order a new one. I have attached a picture that may be helpful.  I know it won't be easy but i'm up to the challenge.  I will appreciate any help from you.

              Thanks,

              Stephen

Answer
I decline writing a step by step description of the technique for replacing a cable in your Urgos movement.  To do so would require far more time than I have avaiable for allexperts inquiries.  Such instructions are available through various "how to.." books.  I suggest you call upon the resources of your public library for the information you seek.  Further I would not recommend this as a DIY project.  Regards WJP
